VISION builds software for wholesale and distribution companies that run a full order-to-delivery cycle: a customer places an order, that order drives an order to the provider, goods are received into the warehouse, and the same goods go out to the customer. Vision Wholesale Distribution links the customer portal, sales, purchasing and the warehouse in a single flow, with barcode-level traceability from provider to customer.

Most distributors already run an ERP or an accounting system and have no reason to replace it. The platform sits around that system and integrates with it, covering the commercial and operational work that tends to happen in spreadsheets, email and phone calls: enquiries, quotes, order approvals, provider follow-up, goods reception and delivery confirmation.

Customer ordering and self-service

A B2B self-service portal lets customers check stock and product availability, ask for prices, request offers, submit orders and follow them through to delivery. Sales staff work on the same records, so an enquiry taken over the phone and an order placed on the portal end up in one place, with one status each side can see.

Sales, pricing and approvals

Leads, customers and contacts are held together with the offers and orders raised against them. A pricing engine applies fees according to customer type and product type, so quoted prices follow the rules agreed with each account. Prices outside those rules go through an approval step before the order is confirmed, and the approval stays on the record.

Purchasing and provider coordination

Provider orders are raised in direct correlation with customer demand rather than against an estimate. The platform holds provider records, agreed terms and expected delivery dates, tracks what has been ordered against what has arrived, and shows which customer orders are waiting on which provider delivery. Approval workflows apply to purchasing in the same way they apply to sales.

Warehouse, barcodes and delivery

Products are tracked with barcodes from reception until delivery. A dedicated barcode-reader application matches items against the order or offer line by line while goods are being received or delivered, so a shortage or a wrong item shows up during the work rather than afterwards. Stock positions update as movements are recorded, and dispatch follows the same digitalised route.

Reporting and integration

Dashboards and reports run on live operational data: orders, purchases, stock movements, deliveries and the margin on each. Back-office staff work with real-time access and approval workflows instead of daily extracts. Out-of-the-box integration with ERP systems keeps stock, invoicing and accounting consistent with the systems already in place.

Built around your processes

The platform is configured on Vision App Maker, a low-code platform with more than 100 implementations across industries. Data structures, forms, business rules and workflows are defined around your organisation: the fields you keep on a customer, a product or a delivery, the screens your sales and warehouse teams use, the rules that govern pricing and approvals, and the route an order takes from enquiry to invoice.

When the process changes, the configuration changes with it. New fields, a revised approval chain or a different warehouse flow are built in the visual designers, so the software keeps matching how the business works today.
